The journal "Zeitschrift für Herz-, Thorax- und Gefäßchirurgie" is published in German and is the DGTHG's official professional development organ. Its main aim is to promote young talent and it is therefore especially aimed at all doctors undergoing their specialist training, though it also serves established specialists as a means of revision and ongoing professional development.
